What are the benefits of using a Merino wool blend in socks instead of pure wool?
When blended with Merino wool, artificial fibers significantly enhance its natural sweat-wicking abilities, ensuring even greater moisture management for added comfort. Pure wool is less durable than blends and prone to wear and tear, especially in high-friction areas like heels and toes.
Today's wool socks have evolved significantly from the hand-knitted ones that grannies used to make. Modern technology allows us to blend a high proportion of natural Merino wool with just a small amount of artificial fibers. That is why we also add elastane and polyester in our fabric blend to ensure extra flexibility and durability meant to serve your socks' lifespan in the long run.
